A Long Drive and a Fun Wedding!
Last Saturday, I DJed the wedding of Nathan and Alexandra at the lovely venue of Doxford Barns in Chathill, which I think is the furthest I’ve ever travelled to DJ a wedding to date, but it was totally worth the 4.5hr drive!
Chathill up past Newcastle and I was doing it for my good friends at The Best Men Wedding DJs.
I checked into my hotel, the simply lovely Alnwick Lodge in Alnwick. It was a very cute room, on a farm and despite the pouring rain, the place’s charm really shone through and the lady who checked me in was very friendly and accommodating, let me arrange a later checkout as I wouldn’t be arriving back until around 1:30am.
The wedding itself was great fun, with tunes from artists such as the bluesy Larkin Poe, Rival Sons, and ZZ Top, to more metal-oriented tracks from Slipknot, Motionless In White, and The Ghost Inside, to some country-based music from Wheeler Walker Jr., and Zac Brown Band. Then there was some Mariachi El Bronx, Santa Esmeralda, and White Buffalo, along with classics from David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, and Prince, Chase & Status and a whole heap of others!
Congratulations, Nathan and Alexandra, and thanks for trusting me to soundtrack your wedding reception!
