I had the absolute pleasure of being the DJ for Rosie and Matt’s wedding last night at Alrewas Hayes Wedding Venue in Staffordshire. It was a beautiful summer day, and the stunning grounds of Alrewas Hayes provided the perfect backdrop for their special occasion. The venue was bustling with joy and excitement as friends and family gathered to celebrate the lovely couple.

From the moment I arrived, the staff at Alrewas Hayes were incredibly helpful and welcoming. A special mention goes to Grace, who assisted me in connecting to the venue’s sound system seamlessly, and to Elliot, the security member on duty, for keeping me company and chatting while I waited for my setup time, having arrived early. The room had beautiful decor throughout!

As the evening guests arrived, I played some tunes to set the mood. After the cake cutting and their first dance to “After Dark” by Mr. Kitty, Rosie and her dad shared a lovely Daddy and Daughter Dance to “I Loved Her First” by Heartland, which was a touching moment that everyone cherished.

As the evening progressed, the dance floor came alive with vibrant energy. Despite many guests choosing to enjoy the beautiful outdoor spaces in the beautiful summer weather, the music was appreciated by everyone, both inside and out. I think everyone came in to have a little boogie at some point. Rosie and Matt had thoughtfully collected a few song requests from their guests before the big day. I made sure to weave these requests into the setlist, creating a personalised and enjoyable music experience for everyone. It was heartwarming to see people dancing and having a great time. “Gainesville Rock City” by Less than Jake is one I don’t get to play at weddings very often, so thank you Amy and Andy for that! (Although I did get to play a different Less Than Jake song at my last wedding!)

We had some fantastic song requests on the night from the guests, including “Temperature” by Sean Paul and “Shy Guy” by Diana King, which kept the party vibe going strong. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves and celebrating Rosie and Matt’s love story.

I was booked for this wedding through The Best Men wedding DJs who have a DJ for whatever style of music you would like on your big day. I am incredibly grateful to Rosie and Matt for allowing me to be a part of their magical day. It was an honour to provide the soundtrack to such an important event in their lives. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness for the newlyweds!
