Raining Men and Reigning Men: A Night to Remember at The Actress & Bishop

What. A. Night. đŸŽ¶đŸ”„

Friday at The Actress & Bishop was one for the books—a packed venue, a buzzing dancefloor from start to finish, and some absolute belters in the setlist, including a few tunes that don’t often make an appearance but hit perfectly on the night.

Unforgettable Highlights from the Set

It’s always great to see the crowd loving the classics, but this night had some extra special moments.

đŸŽ¶ A full bar singing along to “Mulder and Scully” by Catatonia—a 90s indie gem that doesn’t get played enough! 🛾
🎁 The Giver” by Chappell Roan—a fresh tune that I just know is gonna be a new singalong favourite!
💓 “Beating Heart Baby” by Head Automatica—a throwback moment that got hands in the air.
🍀 Irish vibes with “C’est La Vie” by B*Witched, “Whiskey in the Jar” by Thin Lizzy, “Zombie” by The Cranberries, & “Runaway” by The Corrs—perfect for the St. Patrick’s Day weekend crowd!

The Moment of the Night: Raining Men Takes Over

But let’s talk about the real MVP of the night.

Early in the evening, an absolute legend came up and requested “It’s Raining Men”—and when it finally dropped, he was ready. ☔💃

With an umbrella in hand, he took to the stage and delivered a full-on performance, complete with floor moves, dramatic gestures, and a level of energy that had the entire bar cheering, clapping, and filming the spectacle. The whole room was electric, proving once again that it’s not just the music that makes a night—it’s the people, the moments, and the unexpected highlights that stick with you. Honestly, we might need to make him the regular entertainment at The Actress & Bishop!

What song should he perform to next? Drop your suggestions in the comments!

An Unstoppable Night from Start to Finish

From indie classics to throwback bangers, and from modern anthems to unexpected show-stopping performances, including a surprise ending with “AmEN!” by Bring Me the Horizon feat. Lil Uzi Vert and Daryl Palumbo, which caught everyone off guard but absolutely went off, The Actress & Bishop crowd brought nothing but energy all night long. Big love to everyone who came down, danced, sang, and made it a night to remember.

If you missed it, don’t worry—we’ll be doing it all over again soon! Keep up with my upcoming DJ sets here.

Until next time—see you on the dancefloor! đŸ”„
